We operate the Brent Access office of Algonquin Park and operate and maintain 30 campsites at Cedar Lake.  We also sell permits for interior backcountry campsites.  We sell parks merchandise, fishing licenses and Friends of Algonquin books and publications.

Brent campground is located 40 km from Highway 17 in the historic railway village of Brent Station on Algonquin's north side. The campground features few of the modern conveniences of many campgrounds but, instead, has a slow-paced, old-fashioned charm that many people wouldn't trade.

Brent has a number of beautiful secluded sites situated on the scenic shores of Cedar Lake, the Park's second largest lake.  Other areas are more open and attract those who would like to camp in groups.  The campsite offers water, new environmentally friendly washrooms, firewood, swimming areas, exellent fishing and an amazing history.  There are no sites with electricity.

Brent Crater Trail - This 2 km loop trail is situated in the northeast corner of Algonquin Park at kilometre 32. It starts at a newly constructed observation tower that overlooks the 4 km wide crater left by a meteor about 450 million years ago. The well-maintained footpath descends the eroded rim of the crater and makes it way to Tecumseh Lake and back up the crater edge. Numbered posts designate geological features of the meteorite’s explosive impact.

How to get there: 1 km NW of Deux Rivières, along Hwy 17, turn left onto the Brent Road. This is a forest access road leading into Algonquin Park. Less than a kilometre from Hwy 17 is the Cedar Lake-Brent park office, where you can buy your permit.
